Song of the Week: “Anointed One of God”

Hey!  Here’s the first of what I hope will be a long series of weekly song submissions.  All songs are written, co-written or arranged by me (unless I state otherwise because I just wanna brag on a fellow songwriter!).  Feel free to use them for the glory of God!

This song is called “Anointed One of God”.  It was recorded at a Christmas-season concert in 2004 at Church of the Good Shepherd in Davidson, NC.  The oboist is Liz McClure Chen.

If you’re wondering about copyright… This is song’s copyright is registered with the Library of Congress.  However, because I want the songs I write to be freely used, I have decided to get me a Creative Commons License:

That’s a wonderful song Tom. The powerful and spiritual words fit very well with the music. The Oboe complements your voice very well. Is that a combination you use much in your song writing?

I shall look forward to hearing more of what you’ve written.

I was just blessed that one night to get my friend Liz to play oboe with me. Totally nice surprise! I also had some neat opportunities to work with a flautist or two, as well as amazing violinist, violist and cellist. I pretty much have just been blessed by wonderful musicians at just the right times in my life.

I look forward to sharing more songs! If you know any musicians at your church, feel free to share!

    In His Peace.
